Dear Rappers,
We have really enjoyed reading about your favourite
pages. We have reread your introductions again and then your rap point
one comments and now we feel like we know you and what you are enjoying about
the book Granpa. Did you
notice how many of you liked the same page, especially the ice-cream page which
several of you commented on, including Year One REPS. We can imagine REPS
students working on the rap point as we have been in your library!. Isn’t
the rap a great way to share books and talk using email? We were pleased
to hear that 2C from Arncliffe love using the computer.
I agree with EHPS that John Burningham’s illustrations
seem to have been drawn with crayon. I am also wondering if any of the seven
students from 1A Hassall Grove, who didn’t like the book, are changing their
minds.
Thanks Nashdale for pointing out that there is a change in
the seasons shown in the drawings throughout the book.
Has any other school thought about Nashdale’s question
about what the last picture in the book shows?
If you haven’t sent in rap point one then there is
still plenty of time.
We are ready to begin rap point two next week. Enjoy thinking
about conversations and especially the conversation that might have included
the comment, “That’s not a nice thing to say to Granpa.”
Remember the address for your rap point two class response
is Granpa05_rap@list.schools.nsw.edu.au
Happy rapping,
