Here are some of our suggestions about what the grand-daughter could have said to Granpa before his statement "That was not a nice thing to say to Granpa":

You like reading the stupid newspaper better than being with me.

I hate Granpa.

This flower is pretty. I'm not giving it to you.

You need to read me a story, otherwise I won't be your princess.
