Hi,

We are a bit late with our replies- sorry!

We are from Springfield Gardens Primary a school in West Moonah 10 minutes drive north of Hobart in Tasmania.

Our class is a grade 2 with 21 students and we have 2 teachers Mrs Clark and Ms van Hulst.

We chose the page where the chair is empty at the end of the story.

We liked this page because it made us think about our grandpas.

Lots of us have grandpas who have died, so this page made us feel happy and sad!

Happy because we have nice memories of our grandpas and sad because we miss them.

We thought the little girl might have said things like…

Why do you always read that stupid newspaper?

I don’t want to play with you anymore.

That doesn’t make sense Grandpa!

Go away, I don’t like you anymore!

From Unit D   &    Sue Clark.
