hans05_rap Introduction

Dear fellow rappers,

 

This is class 5/6H from Wollondilly Public School reporting. We are very eager to discuss Hans Christian Andersen and his work.

 

5/6H has 28 students (16 girls, 12 boys) and our class teacher is Mrs Sharwood and our teacher-librarian is Mrs Chapman.  Wollondilly Public School is the largest public primary school in Goulburn. Our school has about 480 students.

 

 We have huge playing fields but unfortunately they have no grass on them due to the drought. Our school has the district cross country course on it. Our school colours are gold and green and our school motto is "Learning for Living". Our school canteen is called the Wollon Deli. We hold a huge school concert every two years and this year our concert is titled "The Magic School Bus".Goulburn is located between Sydney and Canberra.

 

Goulburn is in the grips of  drought. We have been on level 5 water restrictions since October 2004.  We only have 10.5% water left in our dam and we will run out of water by the end of the year, unless we receive good rain. We are all very worried about our future.

 

 We have been reading Hans Christian Andersen stories and some retells and comparing the language and the content of the stories. We are looking forward to rapping with you.
