hans05_rap Introducing Danish students

Hello Australia,

We are students from Denmark.

We live in Kolding which is 100kms from the border between Denmark & Germany.

Kolding is located in Jylland (Jylland is in west-Denmark).

Our school is different from a lot of other schools in Denmark.

We have what we call a three-parted school. It’s divided into 3 parts where the first part is from kindergarten school- 3.th grade, and the second is from 4.th grade - 6.th grade and the third are from 7.th grade- 9.th grade.

In our spare-time some of the pupils do sport, like football, handball, golf, etc.

There are also pupils that are interested in music, horses, computer, drama and stuff like that.

In school we don’t wear school-uniforms, but we have kind of a dress-code, but it’s not always kept.

Each subject has different teachers and each class has a class-teacher who follows the class for 3 years in a row (from kindergarten-3.th grade and 4.-6.th Grade, and 7.-9.th grade).

Right now it is spring/summer. It is sunny but a little windy too!

Actually a few minutes ago it started hail stoning.

The school has a programme to prevent bullying.

It’s where you give a massage to another student, because

"you do not bully the one you massage", says the school motto.

Then you will not bully him/her anymore.

It’s a little crazy but the teachers love it!

Next time from 8.c: more info from the H.C. Andersen celebrations week and the school in general.

 Love Trine and Rikke (8.c)
