Hirappers,   

We think that the messages in the Ugly Duckling are still important today.  The duckling was teased because he was different to the other ducklings. He behaved differently to the others and he looked a lot different.
There are people at our school who look different and some people who sound and behave differently.  Because everyone has special qualities and talents there is no need to tease them if they look different.  This is the message in the ugly duckling and it is still an important message today.
