Dear Rappers,

 

We have been reading some of HCA's stories. We have read "The Shadow", 'The Ugly Duckling', "The Leaping Match', 'The Emperors New Clothes' and "Thumbelina'.

 

We think that HCA has talked a lot about his life in his stories. Here are some examples:

 

• In "The Shadow' the main character is a writer and very poor just like HCA. When the Shadow left it was just like when HCA's father died. In the story the Shadow helped people by telling them about their good points and so they gave him gifts and this was like what happened to HCA when he was told he was a great writer and storyteller and was given the chance to go back to school to study. 
• "The Leaping Match'  is a story about working hard to achieve your goals and dreams. The fish won the heart of the Princess because he worked and always did his best. HCA was like this in his own life.
• We agree with other rappers that the story of 'The Ugly Duckling' is like the trouble that HCA had when he returned to school and was teased because he was different from the other students.
