Title: Rap Point 3 Class 3S Marayong PS

Hi Fellow Rappers,
Class 3S decided to study ‘The Pig Boy’ (The Swineherd) rather then ‘The Giant Sea Serpent’. There are two main characters in the story.

The Princess, who looks beautiful, wears expensive clothes and jewels. She is selfish and spoilt, rude to her ladies in waiting (“You’ll do as you’re told, I’m a princess and I must have my own way!”) and nasty to the Prince who wanted to marry her.

The Prince is well dressed, kind, generous, friendly and clever. He was so determined to win the heart of the Princess that he disguised himself as a pig boy, working at       the palace.

He muddied his face and wore ragged clothes. The pig boy made toys and would only give them to the Princess for her kisses.

In the end the Prince realised how spoilt the Princess really was and no longer wanted to marry her “I thought I loved you but then I found out how spoilt you are!”

Hans Christian Andersen uses descriptive language to help his readers create images of his characters.

We have enjoyed reading his stories.
