Investigated item:

Chest of drawers

Item location:

4 Cherry Tree Lane, Cheshire, normally in bedroom

Current owner:

Lyn Williams, bought chest of drawers at an auction

Description:

  • White
  • approx 1.5 metres high
  • 3 long drawers

Current problem:

Owner reports that it won’t let her open the drawers, but when she walks away they open and close constantly.  Owner is keen to give it away.

Evaluation:

The drawers were cursed by a witch named Sally Talbot in 1962.  Then she sold it.

Date:

2nd August 1989

Investigation item:

Blanket

Item location:

9 Binbob Street, normally top shelf of cupboard

Current owner:

Sophy DeBono- Teenaged – found when moved into house

  • Light feeling blanket
  • Fluffy inside colour red velvet

Current problem:

Blanket turns invisible at times (goes missing) and floats around the room by itself.

Evaluation:

The history of the blanket is the owner Fred McOld, was a wizard criminal and used it to escape from Azkaban prison.

Recommendation:

The blanket needs to be washed in certain soap to remove the powers.  We will send a fabric cleaner salesman to give owner a free wash sample.  When used, this wash sample will fix the blanket.
