harryp3_rap Rap update week 3 and Rap Point 3.

Hello fellow (Muggle) Rappers!

You have been very busy and its looks like you will be busier still once we post Rap Point 3 to the Rap. But before we do that we'd just like to respond to some of your responses so far:

WHS Rockets  have been very busy this week past:  The Flying Derby- no umpire no goalposts- any cleaners? That Potions Paintball has an inventive limb numbing objective, while Magic Football seems pedestrian but safe -  if 40 players on a small grass field can be called safe!

Crazy Cricket- Now, wands to hit a commanded ball requires great skill but drinks every 15 minutes sounds very civilised to us. Tangling Tennis - wet suit and goggles would be very hot and very steamy game and ten possible returns to your serve does not bear thinking.

Nimbus netball- Would be very tricky on broomsticks, wouldn't it?

Flying Footy- we would love to be the umpire and give out all those loverly red and yellow cards. Kicking a ball while on a broomstick would be too hard, though.

The 5r from Tomaree have been anything but slothful. We think the wrestling car keys must be the most frustrating of inventions and should receive the highest priority. We look forward to your response to rap Point 2.

We are so glad to finally view the full report from Willyama HS and hope the Ministry is able to get onto it post haste;  cold curried tulip puree or tomato and egg soup just will not do when one is expecting hot tea!

Again we say thanks to Jake because we have our first Harry Potter News item. Rappers, have you read Jake’s Journey on the Hogwarts Express”? Amazing! Thanks Penrith Primary.

Hello everyone at OLMC Parramatta. Thanks for your introduction and your response to rap Point 1. We think we will beware the bucking Chair and be very wary of the honest pen. Who would you send one to as a gift?

Bankstown G H:

Indeed a bewitched T.V. in the Muggle world is a great problem; far more entertaining than the usual fare offered don’t you think? It would be very difficult to persuade muggles to stop watching it once they got used to its wily ways. Good luck with it! Azkaban! The mind tends to shrink from the very thought of it. Yes, by all means get rid of the necklace would be our advice.

Well rappers you have indeed been hard at it. Don’t wear out your wands, or if you do remember to get your replacement from Ye Olde Magik Store in  Targgon Alley, just the other side of your closest chimney.

Now folks for the moment you have been waiting for, RAP POINT 3!

Task:

Investigate a key issue or theme explored in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

There are some suggestions listed on Rap sheet 4.

Select a segment from the book that best illustrates this theme or issue. Represent this in another text type such as:

  • a newspaper article
  • an interview
  • a screenplay for a film segment
  • a poem
  • a play script
  • a speech.

Post your response to the rap at:  harryp3_rap@list.schools.nsw.edu.au

Good luck Rappers! Keep us all up to date with your repsonses to rap points just as soon as you can!
