Current owner:
Mr. Paul Kennedy, bought mower from garage sale.
Description of item:
· Old green antique looking lawn mower made in 1934.
· On/off switch located on the side of handle bar.
Problem:
It's been reported that the mower moves on its own while Mr. Kennedy is
trying to mow the lawn. Its direction seems to ignore the grass and mow down
bushes and starts on its own when grass is long, (even if in the middle of
the night).
Mr. Kennedy had it inspected on the 11 November 2002 and it seemed that
nothing was mechanically wrong. In spite of this examination the problem
persists.
The owner is planning to sell the mower on the 17 November 2002 to an
elderly man. This is expected to cause even more problems.
Evaluation:
The history of the mower is traced back to a wizard of the name Zulus
Mineral, who died in 1929. Zulus was a keen collector of mowers and
bewitched the mower to mow the lawn by itself when the grass grew to a
certain height.
Recommendation:
Mr. Kennedy is planning to go visit his grandmother's house on the 15
November 2002, while he is there the Retrieval Branch will be sent to remove
the item from the location and return the it to the Ministry.
