Our class focused on the friendship between Harry and Ron. Happy Reading!
Example 1:
The true friendship between
Ron and Harry
I was so sick of this house,
Being treated like a mouse,
Then I saw Ron!
And all my troubles were gone.
We ripped off the bars,
Then dived for the car,
We had collected my trunk,
Soon my heart sunk,
As my Uncle walked through the door.
So we set off into the night,
Without a care or without fright,
We took a u-e , chucked a right,
And then arrived in Ron’s yard before day light.
Now we have proved that they are friends,
This is how the poem ends.
Example 2: Sample Section of a TV News Report:
"Just last night as a happy London family were tucked up sleeping, horror
and shock came upon them.
Vernon and Petunia’s “beloved” nephew Harry was kidnapped. And as I stand
here this morning, in front of their house looking through these lonely
windows, I can only feel the loneliness and pain that the Dursley’s are
suffering.
On the night of the 31st of July young Harry awoke to the sound of footsteps
close by. No sooner than he’d awoken he was swept out of his window.
Investigators later searched Harry’s room, finding broken bars near Harry’s
window and a cat flap in the door, chains surrounding it".
