Yo fellow rappers,
Class 5T has invented an interesting sport called “Trouble in T-ball”. We
also brainstormed several other sports, but the majority of us voted for
this sport.
Sport: Trouble in T-Ball
Playing area: The field is made of golden, sinking sand and is the same size
as a normal T-ball field.
Teams: On each team, there are nine players, with two reserves, with a mix
of boys and girls. Two teams oppose each other, in a game. There are four
teams, one representing each of the Hogwart houses.
Equipment: There are three silver bases plus one home plate, that float on
top of the quicksand. Theses bases save the players from falling into the
quicksand. Each batter has his/her own hammer, with which to hit the
floating, golden ball (Similar in size to a muggles T-ball) .Players wear
house coloured body suits and use broomsticks when fielding.
How to play the game:
The aim of the game is to hit the ball and run around the bases to reach
home plate. The runners must be very quick to avoid sinking in the
quicksand. If they sink, they will fall down into a dressing room under the
field. They remain here until their team goes out to field. Once three
players have fallen through the quicksand, the sides swap over (or if 3
players are caught out). The fielding team hover above the quicksand on
their broomsticks, waiting for the batter to hit the golden ball. When a
fielder fetches the ball, they return it to base that the runner is running
to. Batters can also be caught out. After 2 innings each, the home runs will
be tallied. The winning team is the one with the most home runs.
Fouls: Fielders cannot interfere with runners. If they do, the fielding team
will lose 3 runs.
Referee: There are 2 ghost referees- Nearly Headless Nick and Moaning
Myrtle. The referees watch the games and make sure that the players are
showing good sportsmanship whilst playing.
