hey we are from Whitebridge High and our group is "the loaded dogs". there
are 5 people in our group.
we are replying to the question,'what are henry lawsons experiences of life
in the bush?'
henry lawson i think has had bad life experiences in the bush.he talks
abou7t the bush in a negative way in most of his literature. lawsons decried
the practice in oz literature of idolising the outback. to him it was ' the
awful desolation'. his ideas of the bush were coming from personal
experiences.
his early life was spent on the move as his father went from job to job. the
family fights were made deep impressions on young henry, and were to later
find expression in some of his stories.
when henry was 9, he went to school for the first time. he worked hard , but
his studies were interrupted after 3 years he went to help his father who
now had a contract building job. thereafter his schooling was irregular and
uncertain.
