immigrantc_rap Our Three Questions

Here are our questions for Peter Skrzynecki:

Question 1.

As an English Standard class our focus is "Changing Perspectives". Do you
think the poem "Kornelia Woloszczuck" shows or promts any change in
perspective? If so, what is the change in perspective?

Question 2.

Does "Migrant Hostel" depict change overall as a positive experience? The
sentence about lives that were "dying" sound quite negative. Did you intend
this?

Question 3.

What influenced you to write "Crossing The Red Sea" and how is change
portrayed in this poem? Specifically, what do you mean by "As we crossed a
sea/And looked at red banners/That time was hoisting/In mock salute" and the
reference to "voices" which "left their caves" and "silence" which "fell
from its shackles."?

Thank you,
Willoughby Girls Standard English
