Hello rappers and welcome to Rap point 2
I hope you all enjoyed reading each other’s stories
as much as I did last week. Allison,
Jordan and
Jason had some wonderful tales to tell about animals, and Ben and Jake shared
some events that happened to their family and friends. Eric, Corey and Taylor
must have had some amazing adventures when their disasters happened! I really
liked the way that all your stories helped us understand how you felt when
those things happened in your families. Your spoken stories were written so
that the audience could almost hear your voices. Well done!
This week, we are dealing with Rap point 2. You are asked
to:
Create a timeline for an individual:
- from life or
- someone known to all the students or
- a character in one of the Indij readers or
- a famous person or
- a teacher or community worker or
- Getting ready for
school
As a class decide on a timeline to share
with rappers, and post it to the rap once the teacher has approved the final
text.
As well as this, you have the chance to email some questions to two of
the authors of the books that you have been reading, Indij readers. These are:
What we count ,
then and now by Helen Empacher or Nan and Dad and Me at the zoo
(Series 2) by Dylan Russell. Dylan is in Year 1 at a school in Sydney
and he spent a fantastic day at Taronga Zoo with his Nan
and his Dad and the book is all about that day.
As a class, or group, decide on five questions that you would like to
ask Dylan or Helen and in the subject line of the email type:
Questions for Helen
or Questions for Dylan.
Keep writing in your Rap journals too. All the best for this
weeks’ rapping,
Mrs Rasaiah
