Benefit 21st January
Waves of Awareness, a joint initiative of the Indonesian Consulate
General
and the wider Sydney Indonesian Community is to be held at Paddington Town
Hall Friday 21st January 2005. Doors open at 7.30pm, show starts at 8.30pm.
In addition to being a benefit concert to raise funds for the Acehnese
victims of the Tsunami disaster, Waves of Awareness also presents an
opportunity for reflection, remembrance, hope and healing through music,
dance and spoken word. Entertainment on the night will include Sista Native,
Suara Indonesia
Dancers, Rhythm Hunters, Tommee and the Neighbourhood, and
many more accompanied by a 14 piece Contemporary Indonesian Orchestra and
choir. There will also feature visuals by Indonesian film students. As a
thank you to the people who have donated so generously, Garuda Airlines has
also donated one return ticket to Bali as a
raffle prize which includes
accommodation.
