To those colleagues in Brisbane, I am forwarding a press release from the University of Queensland Indonesian Students Association for their Fund Raising Night next Saturday.
If you're in Brisbane, come along:

PRESS RELEASE

THE INDONESIAN FUNDRAISING NIGHT FOR ACEH

The University of Queensland Indonesian Student Association (UQISA) and the Balinese Community of Queensland (BCQ) are holding a fundraising night for the Tsunami victims in Aceh on Saturday (January 22) at 07.00 pm to 09.00 pm in HOLT ROOM, Union Complex, the University of Queensland, St. Lucia.

The event will feature cultural and musical performances, such as Angklung (Western Java traditional musical bamboo), Kecak dance (a Balinese traditional dance telling story of Ramayana), Gamelan Orchestra (traditional instrument ensemble, including gongs, drums, wind and string instruments) and the Panyembrama dance (a Balinese traditional welcoming dance). Photo slides of the affected-disaster areas will also be presented.

The tickets will be available at the door:  $6 for students or children , $ 15 for student family and $12 for the general public. The money collected from the tickets, and donations on the evening, will go to the needy through ³Media Indonesia², one of Indonesia¹s most credible daily newspapers.

All are invited to attend this fundraising night. Let¹s all help the victims rebuild their livelihood.
