indonesian_open 2006 Endeavour languages teachers fellowships

Teman-teman yang baik

DEST has just released information about the 2006 Endeavour program. Now in its third year, teachers of Indonesian can finally apply, walaupun program studi akan berlangsung di Australia, tidak di Indonesia seperti yang diharapkan.

The following information is taken from the DEST web site

2006 ELTF Information

For 2006, Fellowships will be offered nationally to teachers of Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish to participate in in-country study programmes in China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Mexico. In addition, for the first time, a modified study programme for teachers of Indonesian will be offered in Australia. All 2006 ELTF programmes will take place in January 2006.

Each of the in-country study programmes will comprise two weeks of intensive language and culture study and one-week for a field trip to several destinations.  The language study component of the programme will focus primarily on improving participants’ proficiency in the language not on teaching methodologies.

The 2006 ELTF Indonesian programme will comprise a three-week residential intensive language study and cultural programme.

Applications for the 2006 ELTF programme are now open and will close on Thursday, 16 June 2005.
