Indonesian Wayang Kulit are intricate translucent
figures projected against a screen with a light source from behind.
Theatrical storytelling brings to life the ancestral spirits, which are
said to dwell inside the puppets. The stories presented come from either
the Ramayama or Mahabharata epics. Learn more about
Indonesian characters, culture and community through this compelling medium –
delivered direct from Indonesia to your classroom!
Sumardi’s 50 minute interactive
performance has a minimum attendance of
140 students*.

Kulit performance!
*If your
school has less than the minimum, please do not hesitate to contact us – we are
happy to accommodate smaller groups where possible or why not get together with
another school in the region and share the event!
