Dear rappers,
1/2C liked the book 'Jeffrey' because it taught us about safety and we all must put on our seat belt when we first get in the car. We also liked the book because Jeffrey got to wear a seat belt and go in the car with the family.
The author, Margaret Wild wrote this book for a few reasons. They are:
1. To educate us about road safety
2. to teach us in a fun way
3. to have fun listening to a book be read.
We learnt a lot of safety messages in the book. Some messages were written, some we knew, and some were illustrated. These are the messages we learnt:
1. Always wear your helmet on a bike
2. Always wear your seat belt
3. When you go roller blading you need to wear knee pads
4. Always have every part of your body in the car
5. Always have a special seat belt for your dog and other pets
6.Shut the gate so your dog can not run away
7. Hold your parents hand when crossing a road and walking on the footpath
8. Sit quietly in the bus and don't disturb the bus driver
9. Take 2 steps back from the road when the bus is coming
We enjoyed doing this activity in small groups and we all learnt at least one new thing about safety. 1/2C hope that we have taught you one new safety message.
