lukes_way_of_looking_rap Rap Point 1 5B Marayong PS

G’day Rappers,

This is Marayong 5B’s Rap Point 1.We worked in small groups and then as a
whole class, we jointly constructed our definition of imagination.

We think imagination is the thoughts that are made up in your mind that only
you can see. These thoughts are creative and may make you think differently.

To answer 1B we brainstormed in small groups and then shared ideas with the
whole class. We think Luke’s way of looking at the world is colourful,
creative and extraordinary. In contrast, Mr.Baraclough’s way of looking at
the world is colourless, negative and dull.

In answering this question we discovered that Luke’s classmates view the
world in a similar way to Mr Baraclough. Mr. Baraclough initially reacted
negatively to Luke’s artwork. His reactions were bad tempered (“he went
ballistic”), furious (“he screamed at Luke”), mad (“he tore up Luke’s
painting”) and over the top (“he broke Luke’s brushes”).

We think the illustrations are cleverly used to reinforce Mr. Baraclough’s
reaction through shadows and the dark, colourless drawings of Mr.
Baraclough.
