lukes_way_of_looking_rap Bankstown G.H.S.Rap Point 2 Response

The Enigmatic Angels from Bankstown Girls think the bird represents freedom and couarge. The bird also represents Luke's strength and imagination and the power

to be himself.

The Gargoyles represent the past, something different, change and life.Luke was different to start with, but by the end of the book, the gargoyles take flight and are free like Luke.

The bird motif at the beginning of the book is small plain and colourless. Through the book the

bird becomes larger brighter and more colourful. It is like Luke who has come out of his cocoon. It

represents development, change and imagination. It is like the butterfly going through metamorphosis and escaping from the cocoon and flying away and being free.

The watermelon image is breathtaking powerful and effective. It shows that after Luke took a trip to the Art gallery, he changed. Here Luke is diving into the watermelon and he is so into his artwork that it feels like the real world. It shows how passionate Luke is about his art.
