Dear fellow Rappers
Today we worked in groups of 4 and chose 1 of Matt Ottley’s creative
pictures. Each group discussed Matt’s techniques used in the particular
illustration and how these were effective. Representatives from each group
then put forward their ideas about their chosen illustration .We then voted
for the class most effective picture.
The chosen page begins with,” Even school looks more exciting than Luke
could ever have imagined.” This spread is most effective because it’s very
colourful and bright. This helps to portray Luke’s freedom and happiness.
The use of different brush strokes shows that Luke is creative,has different
visions and is free to be himself! The clouds are moving away and the blue
sky is coming back - just like Luke’s self confidence. The gargoyles are
also free, like Luke. The clock tower
is escaping time, as its face/door is open.
