lukes_way_of_looking_rap Response to Rap Point 3

A) At the beginning of the book Luke feels like a prisoner trapped
into doing things the way everyone else did. When Luke entered the
museum, however, his whole world changed because he saw people
looked at things the same way he did. He goes from being depressed
to feeling free and being able to be who he wanted to be.

To demonstrate how his character changed, Matt Ottley used colour
to equal happiness and a bird to represent his freedom.

B) Luke's change of character at first infuriated Mr. B. and made his
class mates think he was weird. As he developed confidence to be himself the
class members showed some acceptance of him and even saw his point of view,
demonstrated in their groaning response to art.

Mr B. finally gave in to Luke's creativity and showed this by his
silence at the end of the book.
