lukes_way_of_looking_rap Rap point 3

Rap point 3
a)Initially, Luke seemed to lack self-confidence and faith in his
ability, in the face of Mr Barraclough's anger. However, Luke
persevered with his interpretations of art throughout the book. As the
story unfolded we saw Luke's character develop in the area of
self-belief. We saw his spirt soar.

b)Luke's personal and highly committed attitude to his artwork may
have influenced Mr Barraclough's attitude. This is apparent on the
final page, which shows Mr Barraclough comtemplating Luke's art with
possible acceptance. It is also possible that Luke's joy, when
re-entering the classroom, might have had an influence on his peers.
