Dear Rappers,
It's great to have you 'on board'! How are you going with Rap Point 1? There's lots of interesting stuff at the online exhibition so hopefully you are enjoying finding out about Matthew Flinders using the 'net. I think it's great that people all around the world can have a 'virtual museum' visit just by visiting the online exhibition:

Thanks for your well-written and informative introductions. I'm sure that other rappers have a good snapshot of what your school is like now - are any of you mapping where the rappers are located? A rap map could go up on your class or library wall (download a rap map from http://www.schools.nsw.edu.au/schoollibraries/teaching/raps/flinders/mffrontp.htm).
If you haven't had a chance to send your introduction through it's not too late - try sending it over the next couple of days or with your Rap point 1 answers.
Here is Rap Point 1:
1a Prepare two questions that query aspects of Matthew Flinders' life.
These questions can be formulated from data found on the Matthew Flinders electronic archive web site at
http://www.slnsw.gov.au/flinders/archive.html
eg. Why was Matthew Flinders captured and held as a prisoner in
Mauritius?
1b Prepare one other question to have answered, perhaps by a Flinders expert, or Trim, the cat.
Comment on interesting facts that were uncovered, which led to a search for more answers.
eg. Why was Flinders' time on Mauritius important?
Post questions constructed by the class to the rap. Your class may wish to respond via the rap to queries from other rappers.
Send your thoughts on Rap Point 1 to this email address:

We look forward to reading your questions.
Happy Rapping!
