Dear Rappers,
What a great start we’ve had to our Mrs Millie book
rap. Your Introductions have been so interesting to read and we have such a
variety of schools, names and classes. A special welcome to our rappers from
other states particularly Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia. I hope you
have been able to keep your Rap Maps up to date – ours are looking interesting,
and there’s still room for more!
Several rappers have mentioned that they have really enjoyed
reading Mrs Millie’s Painting. Yes, it is a great book, full of
colour, imagination and adventure. We're
going to have a fun time exploring it. Now its time
to get our imaginations working for our first rap point.
Here is Rap Point One:
The illustrations and events in Mrs Millie’s
painting give us important information
about the character of Mrs Millie: her past and present circumstances,
interests, worries and choices.
A.
Complete a character profile of Mrs Millie, then name some of her
characteristics and tell us how you found or identified these. (If we
try not to repeat what other rappers have found, we will all combine to build up
a total picture of Mrs Millie).
B. When you feel you know her well,
EITHER:
·
construct a brief literary description of this wonderful
character and send it to the rap
OR
·
