mrs_millies_painting_rap Introducing Matt Ottley

Hi all Rappers,
I've just come back from a big trip to part of NSW, where I was working with school groups (hi Barham Primary School - I hope you have managed to log on to this Rap - I had such fun at your school). What fun to come home and be a part of the Mrs Millie Rap. I'll be sending your letters on to Mrs Millie, I know she is very excited about the whole thing. Poor Socrates got hayfever from one of Mrs M's weird flowers but I think he's OK now.
4 Gold at Saint Thomas More has asked me who the face is in the chimney. You've got me there. I'm afraid that is a happy accident. I didn't intentionally paint a face in the chimney, but I think it is wonderful that you are observing the pictures so closely that you have found something like that. I'm looking at the picture as I write this, and I feel silly enough to say I can't see the face. Please someone point it out to me!
Thankyou 3/6M at Whalan Primary for your kind comments and your questions. If you go to the Lateral Learning site at www.laterallearning.com, (Lateral Learning is the agency that handles my work) you can find a picture of me. I don't have a scanner, otherwise I'd send you one from here. I live in the rainforest in northern NSW, at a place called Huonbrook, which is near Mullumbimby. I used to live in Sydney. The paintings in Mrs Millie's Painting were all painted with oil paints on canvas, and they are all ten percent larger than they appear in the book. I'm glad you enjoyed Faust's Party, thanks for your feedback.
Happy Rapping everyone, I look forward to your responses and questions.
Matt Ottley
