Hi!
Here are some things we discovered about Mrs Millie:
Mrs Millie is sun smart as she always wears a hat when she goes outside. She is quiet and shy and doesn't have many friends. She is also sensitive and is upset when others laugh at her geraniums at the flower show. She doesn't like Mrs Compost and she thinks Mrs Compost doesn't like her as she teases her.
We think her husband must have died because she still wears a wedding ring. If she was divorced, she wouldn't still be wearing the ring.
Why is the bird always at the window? Is it waiting to be fed? We noticed it followed her all through the story.
We were amused by the titles of the books she had read. They were "Jack & the beanstalk" and "Make your painting live".
When she climbed the 'beanstalk', she saw the flowers that she had painted.
