congratulations on your response for Rap point 1 - it 's a thoughtful and well written email.
You say some interesting things about soft focus and high camera angles. Soft focus has been a real favourite with groups looking at Rap point 1, so can I refer to you the emails posted for some general comments about that.
You have done what students often have difficulty doing -you've identified the device, but then gone a step further to say how it works on the viewer and what it means for a viewer. Well done.
The film uses high camera angles sparingly, and one of the clearest examples is when we look down at Benny. Yes, it does show him as a young boy, and the angle emphasises 'young' and 'childlike' as an idea. Your observation that this suggests Benny is pining for his lost youth and that he just wants to be a !
child and
play with his Lego, is a good one. That's what I mean by going a step further.

Why then does he say to Saskia that he wants to take up her offer of jamming, and later, why does he get his guitar down from high and dusty storage?
These things seem to contradict his wish to retreat into childhood again. What do you think?
