Noah and Saskia 06_rap

Hi everyone,
We have chosen close ups fpr our filmic technique and sound effects for our
filmic element - episode 4.
Close ups are used frequently throughout the Noah and Saskia series
There is a close up of Noah and Clive's faces when Noah is telling Clive
that he can get Noah a girlfriend.The close up of Noah shows that he has no
faith in Clive's ability to do this.
There are also close-up of Clive and Noah when Clive is telling Noah he is a
geek because he prefers to talk to an anonymous person on the computer
rather than meeting with a gorgeous girl!! Another interesting use of close
up ( and possibly special effects) is when Noah and Indy are talking about
flesh and blood and making connections. However they are not looking at each
other but at a profile mirror image of themselves.This is ironic because
they think they are making connections like flesh and blood people , but
they aren't really.
These close ups help us to understand the characters better by making their
thoughts more obvious and making the show more humorous.
Sound Effects Episode 4
Sound effect 3 the bell ringing to coincide with Clives bright idea to get
Noah a girlfriend.
Another interesting sound effect is when Melanie Collins ignores Clive and
speaks to Noah - there is a buzzer noise.This is humorous and emphasizes
Clives lack of understanding of girls.
One more clever use of sound effects is the use of the sound of bowling pins
being knocked over when Clive looks at Noah in disbelie that he is saying he
cant meet Melanie after school.
All these sound effects add humour and help to highlight the thoughts of the
characters.
