thanks for your thoughtful and extended response to Rap point 2 - on the similarities and differences between our two main characters, well done.
You make some great points, although I reckon you're a tad harsh with 'tomboy' and 'wimp'! Phew.
Saskia plays guitar, wants to thump Noah for stealing her music, and speaks her mind- that makes her a tomboy? That makes 90% of girls so called tomboys, doesn't it? And wimp - Noah loves his computer, he won't chat up the girls at school, and he doesn't like football - that's a winp? Gee, you're tough withdalabels, eh?
But, I agree with everything else you say!
You describe them both as 'imaginative and artistic' - yes, in different ways too, and that's how they come together and begin their online communication. Saskia's music complements Noah's artistic/techno skills. The!
y would
make a good business pair perhaps, running an online magazine or something like that. Saskia seems much more down to earth (as 70 @ Guyra point out) and she'd run the tax/finances/marketing, etc, I reckon. (Would being practical and being financially aware make you a 'tomboy' too?)
I also agree that they are both good at talking their way out of difficulties, and talking their way around situations to get what they want. A fabulous skill. This is called being articulate - where you can articulate (talk) to express exactly what you feel and what you want to happen. Articulate people are the movers and shakers of the world (Bob Geldof, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Bono, etc). No wimps in that list!
Plus, yes, each character seeks someone to understand them. Saskia feels strongly she has found that person, but we, from our privileged position of seeing both sides, can see that Noah does not feel that so !
strongly.
It is hard to tell if they would be friends, I agree. I do think they'd make good business partners though, in an artistic venture.
Finally, I like how your group has different opinions. Thanks for stating that and summarising both opinions - it is unrealistic to expect a group to agree on everything, you must have some good discussions going there. Keep it up and I look forward to seeing what you do with Rap point 3.
