noahandsaskia06_rap response to APCS 7X

Hi 7X @ Alexandria

Thanks for your response to Rap point 2 and your ideas about the characters of Noah and Saskia.

I agree that Noah comes across as a ‘geeky and indoor’ type. He is made up to look the part too, with his skin colour (pale) and schoolboy uniform, like he belongs indoors. He does love his computer too, and he’s really good at manipulating online technology. I like that.

Saskia, I reckon, is less ‘geeky and indoor’. She  uses the Internet to post her music, but she has to ask for help to break into Noah’s site a geek would know that. Plus, when she imagines talking to Noah they are walking down a street. When Noah imagines talking to Saskia, they are in his comic. There’s a difference there in how they see the world: she’s outside, he’s inside.

You make a good point about how neither character wants the world to see what they look like: Noah’s wrapped up in his comic and online activities, and Saskia is shy so shy that when she was busking, she even had to play the guitar with her back to the street. I sense a change in Saskia by the end of episode 4. She’s getting out more. But Noah. Maybe not what do you think? Will he always be an indoor geeky person?

Hope you’re going well with Rap point 3!

with thanks

Carol
