I think you came up with some really great points too. And,
in a list form – good on
you, it’s easy to read.
It’s a bit of a sneaky question as to whether Saskia
and Noah would be friends if they met. A typical English teacher’s
question! Sorry.
It’s one that we can’t know the answer to, we
can only make an educated guess, and that is just what you’ve done:
listed the points and made a conclusion based on the evidence. That’s an educated
guess, as opposed to a plain old guess.
I asked that question because I wanted rappers to think
about what these people are really like, and we do that when we go beyond the events
of a text. After reading your email, now I’m wondering about Renee and
Clyde……would they be friends?
You’ve picked up on the fact that they would probably get
on well, although Noah would most likely just want to be friends and Saskia
would probably want more than that. Yes. Noah is an introvert; he wants to keep
most people at a distance, doesn’t he? And Saskia is a more outgoing character,
an extrovert. I’d like to think that if they ever met, Saskia’s
personality and energy would drag Noah away from his Internet limited world and
they would get out and go to movies and dances and art galleries and clubs etc,
and, as you say, get on well.
