EPHS yr 11
I have found new meaning for happiness because my lord
has safely arrived in Cyprus. The nights have been so
empty withtout my dearest love, and his arrival today
has filled my heart with joy. I have wanted to
recapture the pleasure i previously felt so briefly in
Vienna. Our wedding was brief but was in itself, the
happiest moment of my life. I have longed to see the
light in his eyes and to feel the security of his arms
around me again. I had awaited his return with an
expectant heart and as i saw his beloved form striding
towards me i wanted to run and throw myself into his
arms. Instead, i was content to admire him from afar
and let him recieve the acclaim from his men that he
so richly deserved. As he came closer his eyes found
mine and in that moment i knew that my love had
returned, and would soon be by my side. I love him. I
truly love him; not in the manner that his men do, for
theirs is one of honour and respect. The love i feel
is instead, one of adoration and desire. His honesty
and nobility are important parts of his character-
these attributes are what drew me to him. He captured
my heart with his tales of bravery and victory, and he
has retained it with his goodness and integrity. When
i am with him i have no regrets for i am simply
following my heart. When my father sees our happiness
i pray that he will shae our joy, and once again look
upon Othello with the admiration and respect he once
did. Othello is truly worthy of it. I know that our
love will survive and overcome any future battles or
obstacles for our hearts and minds are one.
