G'day fellow rappers
We are a group of 6 working in the library with Mrs Winterton (our
librarian) and Cliff Toomey our AEA.
Orange is in the Central West of NSW in Wiradjuri country.We are about a 3
hour drive west of Sydney.
Orange is a very colourful city with lots of interesting place to visit. The
best has got to be Mt Canobolas. You can drive there or go on the walking
trail past Lake Canobolas. Mt Canobolas is an extinct volcano and is the
highest land between here and the Indian Ocean. It is 1 395 metres above
sea level and is very cold. Sometimes it is covered in snow. There are
wombats and blacktail wallabies there.
The first payable gold was found near Orange at Ophir and gold from there
was used to make the Gold Medals for the last Olympics.
We also have a big factory called Electrolux( used to be called Email) and
some of you might have a fridge at home that was made here. The fridges
brand is Westinghouse.
We are looking forward to reading the book and finding on the map where all
you other rappers live.
