papunya_rap rap point 1

Dear Rappers

We have enjoyed reading about the tradional past of Australian Aborignals.
We have enjoyed trying to say the Aboriginal words in the book and learning
the meanings.
It has been interesting learning how the two different cultures used the
land in such different ways.
We felt sad when we discovered that the white people didn't respect the ways
that Aboriginals used their land and decided "Terra Nullius" or "No man's
land".
It appeared to us that the white people didn't understand the importance
that Aboriginal's placed on the land, and that the white people didn't care
about the land in the same way the Aboriginal's did.
White people used the resources of the land without thinking of the long
term effects.
We are looking forward to continuing to read more of this book!

Until next time,
      6R!
