papunya_rap Rap point 1

Dear Fellow Bookrappers,

We agree that Anagu and Tjulkura saw and used land differently about 150
years ago.

Nature was not the main focus for Tjulkura although it was for Anagu. Anagu
used nature in many ways to support their lifestyle. Some ways in which
they used the land was to communicate, for shelter and to provide food.

By contrast, Tjulkura used land differently. They cut down trees in order
to build farms and huts without thinking of the longterm consequences for
either the land or the indigenous peoples. Unfortunately, Tjulkura did not
adapt to the land into which they had moved.

Bye now,

The Tooniekids.
