papunya_rap Rap point 1

When the Tjulkura or white people first came, they saw the land as place that they could grow crops and raise cattle, they did know that the all the land was already owned by the different groups of Aboriginal people. They thought that because it wasn't written on pieces of paper no one lived there and called the land terra nullius which meant empty land. Then they claimed it. The Anangu would never change the land yet the Tjulkura came in and started to ruin the land without knowing they were.
