papunya_rap rap point 2 -Homebush West PS 5/6A

Answer to the second question:

Many of the early settlers brought fear to the Anangu and wanted to get rid of them .
When the missionaries came, they brought not only Religion but a different and more easy lifestyle with alternative (eg.beef and flour.) food and medicine. The Anangu were able to have another language (English) and were able to read and write and draw on paper .They became more skilled and began wearing European-style clothing. They also felt safer with the kindness of the missionaries.

Altogether, this greatly changed the lives and attitudes of the Anangu people.

                                                     From 5/6 A, HWPS
