papunya_rap Wrapping up from the co-ordinator

Dear Rappers

Thank you for your participation in the Papunya School Book of Country and History Rap. Time is always a problem in a busy school day, however, the quality of responses have obviously shown great thought and attention to the book's information throughout the rap.

I realise that much of what is learnt cannot be written on an email as Wendy from Wollondilly suggests, however, the e-mail response is just one aspect of the book rap and it is fabulous to know that a book rap can be used as another valuable tool for student learning!

I hope you have learnt, as I have, more about the Anangu people and their lives as well as assimilation, the Tjulkura people and the way inwhich they approach the land and the Anangu people as they arrived as settlers.

The text also gives us great insights into the development of the Papunya School itself.

Please let the rap know of the positive points you have gained by participating in the rap as it is always useful for further rap develoments.

Thank you once again for your work and effort throughout the past weeks!

Vicki Douglass
