papunya04_rap book rap2

The book represents the Anangu way by telling us how everything happened. They had lots of aboriginal paintings and photos of the aboriginals. There were stories about how the whiteman came from both points of view.

The picture gives us an idea of what the writing is explaining using the traditional way of painting, mixing crushed rock with water and using symbols that represent something important.

The aboriginals dot painting represents the way they see the land and how white people see it differently.

Visual representation is important to aboriginal people because they have symbols that symbolises something in which they believe in. It has lasted for generations and people will understand what they are talking about.
Whiteman jugde aboriginals by their colour and not their personality but as we are getting to know them better,we understand their culture and accepting our differences because everyone has something different about them too.
