Dear Rappers
I am Julie
and because I illustrated Possum magic written by Mem Fox 21 years ago, I am part of the Possum Magic
Rap .I bet many of you are a wiz at rapping. I have never done a rap before and I am very
curious about all of you. I am checking
the map to see where your schools are in NSW ,Victoria,South Australia,Northern
Territory, Western Australia, Queensland or Tasmania and you never know we could
hear from somewhere else in the world . I
live close to the city of Sydney we call it the inner West I work doing drawings
and finished water colour painting for picture books in my studio not far from
where I live. The main work room is in a converted roof space with windows next
to a big peppermint gum tree. I am looking forward to following the discussion
about Possum Magic and being part of the questions and answers that come come my
