Hello Rappers
We are excited to join this rap and discover more about Possum Magic and Mem Fox.Our school is called Duranbah Public School. We are a small school of 46 students. Our school has two full time teachers and a part time teacher. The Principal at our school teaches the Primary class.Our class, K/1/2 has 22 students in it!
Our school is beautiful, we are surrounded by bushland and have a fantastic new fitness track on our large playground.We have a special room at our school called the Quiet room. It is a special place to relax. We enjoy playing sport such as soccer, football, tennis and hockey. Many children enjoy playing in the sandpit with trucks.Duranbah School is about 30km from the Queensland border but on the coast. See if you can find us!
We have a special art shed at our school where we can enjoy art like clay, painting and paper sculpture.Our teacher Ms Young read Possum Magic to us today-we thought it was a fun book.This term we are investigating Australia so this book will help us to learn more about Australian animals, food and places. Guess what? Our teacher has just told us that we are going to the Currumbin Bird Sanctury this term to look at many Australian animals and to listen to Possum Magic being read with real possums! How cool is that?
