We are having a lot of fun reading the responses everyone else is giving to the rap points. We really enjoy it when students at other schools have the same ideas as us.
There was a hotly contested battle in our Reading Groups this week to decide on our favourite page. We divided up into groups and each group chose their favourite page and then had to come up with reasons to convince everyone else that their page was the best choice. Each group presented their reasons and it really seemed to work as almost everybody changed their mind (or maybe that just goes to show how many really great pages there are to choose from in the book).
When it came to the final vote the page that won was the pages where Grandma Poss performs bush magic on all of the different animals. We liked the way that the wombat was looking at its new blue fur like it was thinking "What is happening here???" The kookaburras looked like they were asking themselves the same question. One of us liked the way it looked as if Grandma Poss' tail was patting the birds. We also thought the dingo had a great smile. Some of us especially liked the way Grandma Poss was handing upside down with the magic coming out of her hands. There was lots of action.
We are already enjoying reading some of the page choices done by other schools. You have made some really good points.
