Hi fellow rappers,
Class 4B from Marayong Public School worked in small groups to brainstorm strategies for unsafe situations. We then shared our ideas and created the following list:
- Sitting properly
- Stay away from large crowds
- Ask for assistance
- Standing a safe distance from transport
- Hold onto poles and railings
- Keeping all your body inside the vehicle
- Walking not running around public transport
- Don’t play with emergency buttons
- Be aware of the safety equipment - where they are and how to use them
- Stand clear of doors
- Don’t distract the driver
- Paying attention to safety signs
- Stay close to travel buddies
- Stay alert
- Adults need to supervise children
- Make room for the elderly or disabled
