Dear Rappers
Gareth thought that the story about Jeffrey was really good. Megan liked the story because of the nice pictures. Amy felt happy when she read the part where Jeffrey got his seatbelt. Tom loved the part where Jeffrey had the animals all mixed up. All our class enjoyed the book.
The story made us feel good, happy and like laughing. Which we did!!!
Year 1 think that Jeffrey felt sad, like crying, upset, unhappy and felt like he was missing out.
We think Jeffrey would have felt happy, proud of his seat belt, overjoyed, surprised and good.
Margaret Wild wrote this story to help people learn about road safety. It is also a nice story to hear.
The information in the story that will help readers be safer is:
Always put your seat belt on!
Hold a grown up hand when you cross the road!
Always wear a helmet when you are rollerblading, skating, riding a bike or scooter!!
Wait till the road is clear of traffic to cross!!!!
If you are riding something, ride it in a safe and sensible place.....not on the road!
Keep your pets safe from traffic.
When walking near roads, hold a grown up hand.
Keep your head inside the bus!
Wear protective clothing when needed.
Always look left, right and left again before crossing the road.
If you need training wheels, use them!
Get a grown up to watch you.
Use you bicycle brakes, to keep safe!
Keep your bike in good condition!
Make sure your pets travel safely.
Bye
