We enjoyed reading Jeffrey. We felt sad at the beginning of the story when Jeffrey had to stay home. By the end of the story we felt happy because Jeffrey had his own seatbelt.
Jeffrey would have felt sad and lonely when the family left him alone. He was much happier by the end of the story when he had his own seatbelt in order for him to travel safely by car. Jeffrey would have also felt much more loved by the family because they were considering him by wanting him with them.
The story has been written to teach children to be safe when travelling, or to remind children to be safe. Some important messages we learn't from the story were to always wear a seatbelt in the car, and whenever we ride our bikes, rollerblades or skateboards to wear a helmet.
