the_binna_binna_man_rap St Mary's Central School rap point one

We think this follows the oral traditional storytelling because it uses Aboriginal language eg 'migaloo', 'goori', 'quinkin'. They bring the story alive for us, and make it feel traditionally Aboriginal. It also has many short, traditional stories running through the book. We particularly liked the humour on pages 28 (McDonalds), 42 (fourmile), 87-88 (freshwater creek), 43 (picture of Mirror). The black and white pictures make it seem more Aboriginal and the use of focus, shading and close-up give the book an eerie, haunting feel. Pg 61 The blackness of this picture gives a feeling of coldness, loneliness and vulnerbility.
We are looking forward to hearing from everyone.
